Colorado Springs Utilities
Colorado Springs Utilities is the latest and largest city-owned utility to implement The Broadband Group’s Utility Lease Model™. The citywide fiber network will enhance customer service capabilities and serve as a foundation for future grid modernization and operational needs. At the same time, spare fiber capacity will enable high-speed Internet access across every corner of Colorado Springs. Once complete, the network will pass more than 200,000 addresses, bringing modern fiber infrastructure to all of Colorado Springs Utilities’ residential and business customers.
Huntsville Utilities
In February 2016, Huntsville Utilities (HU), announced the launch of Huntsville Utilities’ Fiber Transport Network, an industry-shaping strategy to accelerate the deployment of ultra-high speed Internet service throughout the service territory of the utility. Google Fiber announced they would be the network’s Anchor Tenant, leasing fiber and providing residential and business Gigabit services throughout Huntsville.

City of Dana Point
The City of Dana Point engaged The Broadband Group to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of its existing wired and wireless broadband infrastructure. The scope of work included identifying strategies to improve citywide wireless connectivity and recommending effective approaches for fiber deployment that take into account Dana Point’s complex topography and commitment to preserving its natural beauty and visual character.
